“After all, football is fantasy, a cartoon for adults.”
(Osvaldo Soriano)

116 / 5.000 The one on May 10th was a truly extraordinary Enza derby full of imagination, energy, emotions and art.
Having reached 80, the Reggiana-Parma derby was immediately spectacular, starting from the stands, where the fans showed off their most imaginative choreographies. Charged by the energy that electrified the air, the two teams did not hold back, staging a show that would be the envy of the best teams in Serie A.
As if to anticipate the extraordinary nature of the match, with the desire to celebrate a derby always deeply felt by the city and the fans, from the collaboration between Li&Pra and the illustrator from Vicenza Osvaldo Casanova, a dynamic and futuristic poster was born that leads straight to the action .
Projected towards the future
The particular sensitivity of Osvaldo Casanova, the predilection for clean lines that capture the essence of the action, the careful use of color that not only characterizes the subjects but makes them familiar and human, immediately ignited in us the passion for this multifaceted artist. Osvaldo, in fact, perfectly integrates his passion for sport, design and all expressions of creativity in each of his works, telling fragments of the future.
The collaboration between Li&Pra and Casanova was born not only from the common interest in the Granata football team, but also from the love for design. All this resulted in the creation of a placemat bearing the poster’s graphics and printed internally by the company on the same embossed vinyl support used to create the wallpapers that embellish homes and places all over the world.
The graphic represents two footballers competing for the ball and victory, on a thin blue line that represents the Enza stream, the river that gives its name to the derby and marks the border between the provinces of Reggio Emilia and Parma. Blue is also the only color in common between the two clubs.
The placemats, made in limited numbers, were distributed on the day of the match to fans and sponsors, representing a precious gadget to be preserved and appreciated over time, destined to become a collectible design object.
